How long is the season?

the season runs from June to January. auditions are held around april/may.

when will practices and competitions be held?

our senior team practices one day a week at the space dance company.

summer practice, monday afternoon

fall/winter practice, sunday, 11 am-3 pm

Additional practices will be added to the schedule for choreography and competition prep.

our team will compete at 3-4 regional competitions during the 2025-2026 season. competitions will be in nov, dec, and jan. these are typically one-day events.

what type of training will dancers receive?

training will be focused on movement and technical skills such as turns, leaps, jumps, acro, and strong/sharp movement. Our goal is to also bring in top industry experts who specialize in turns, leaps, and jumps to enhance dancers’ technical traning.

what is the financial commitment?

cost includes monthly dues to be paid during the season (June-January). additional costs include fees for choreography, team apparel, competitions, and travel/lodging. our goal is to offer fundraising opportunities to help families cover the cost for these expenses.

what if dancers do not have all of the required skills?

our hope is that dancers have mastery in several of the required skills. however, we understand that dancers come from various training backgrounds and experiences.

we are excited to support their growth throughout the season by providing focused training and encouragment to help them master as many skills as possible.

what if a dancer doesn’t know if they want to dance beyond high school?

That’s totally okay and absolutely normal! whether a dancer has no idea at all or may have some interest in dancing beyond high school, our program provides a way to enhance their current training especially in key areas like turns, leaps, and jumps.

additionally, our coaches, along with their networks, can provide guideance to dancers and their familes about college dance teams and professional programs.
